Regional Airline Association Convention in Minneapolis

I had a wonderful experience at the Regional Airline Association Convention in Minneapolis, MN.  This was RF System Lab's first time attending and exhibiting our VJ- ADV Video Borescope at this convention, and we will certainly be attending again next year.   The convention had a very diverse range of attendee’s and exhibitors, from the big companies like Pratt & Whitney and Bombardier to many single location exhibitors.
I was fortunate enough to attend several of the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) sponsored symposiums on a wide range of subjects including in-flight safety, overall airline operations, and aviation maintenance.  One of my favorite things about attending any type of convention is the opportunity to learn so much, and I feel like in the aviation industry, there is always something new to learn.
We had hundreds of people stop by the booth and check out both the 3.9mm outside diameter and the 6.9mm outside diameter.  Whether it was an Airline Execute, a Director of Maintenance, and Line Maintenance Manager, or someone in a Quality Control Department on the aviation production side, the positive response is really overwhelming.  People rave about the ergonomic pistol grip design, the seamless 4 way articulation through the joystick control, and the extreme portability.  I always enjoy hearing, “My first video borescope rolled around in a big suitcase.  I CAN’T BELIEVE HOW LIGHT THIS IS!”.  The Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) folks constantly told me how great the VJ-ADV would work on their PT6 and other high end turbine engine inspections.
One of my favorite parts of the tradeshow was passion the people had for aviation.  I heard more than once, not only do I work with in this type of capacity for the aviation industry, but airplanes are my hobby.  I own this type of plane, and always thought a high end borescope would be out of my budget.  Particularly when the pilots were referring to their personal reciprocating engines, they told me the 6.9mm outside diameter would be more than small enough to complete their inspections.
Overall, I would have to say it was an incredibly successful tradeshow for RF System Lab and the VJ-ADV Video Borescope.  I’m already looking forward to next year.

AWEA WindPower Conference & Exhibition 2012

The Wind Power tradeshow in Atlanta Georgia was overwhelming due to the vast number of exhibitors and attendees.  RF System lab was proud to become a member of AWEA (American Wind Energy Association) and participate at the Expo.  We decided to attend after having recent success in the Wind Turbine industry.
The release of the VJ-ADV 3.9mm 1.5meter and VJ-ADV 3.9mm 3.0meter 4-way joystick controlled articulating video borescopes has kicked the door wide open for us in the wind turbine inspection service industry.  The manual direct drive articulation of the VJ-Advance and light weight portable, ergonomic pistol grip design makes this a perfect choice for Gearbox and Generator inspections.
RF System Lab and the VJ-Advance line of video borescopes have become known as the Top performing low cost alternative to the Olympus and GE (Everest) lines of borescopes.  Our unique articulation design eliminates the delay or lag time associated with when you move the joystick to when the head of the scope actually articulates.  This gives feedback on the whether the head of the scope is restricted or is free to be articulated.  This user friendly feature is very handy when getting in and out of the bearings to inspect the race.
Everyone at the tradeshow was impressed with our No Cost, No Obligation demo trial program that allows me to directly ship a scope to the interested potential customer so he can test and evaluate it in the type of equipment they most often inspect.  If you have some EOW (end of warranty) inspections coming up, that is a great opportunity to take advantage of our demo program
